Missing anode rod?

So I went to drain everything and check my anode rod. After everything I read online it is the small nut behind the water heater quick access panel. I pulled mine and it's only a plastic nut. Nothing is attached?? Where is the anode rod on my unit. 2014 Road Warrior 415.
